It’s time for our third annual Halloween Comic Fest on Saturday, October 25th from 10am to 7pm!
Halloween Comic Fest is the premiere event in Cleveland where kids and family get to interact with the ever growing cosplay community while enjoying free comics, candy, and complimentary photography services.
Halloween Comic Fest is an international event celebrated here on a local level. It’s like a miniature Free Comic Book Day, with free comics books created just for the day for trick or treater’s. This year there are 19 different books available, fourteen for all ages, and five for teen plus. Anyone in costume will be able to take one of each of any of the books that are age appropriate. (Don’t worry mom and dad, teen plus selections are kept high up and far away.) People not in costume are welcome to stop in and grab a couple too.
Here’s some highlights from the all ages selections:
Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars HCF Edition
Experience the ground-breaking 1984 classic again – or for the very first time! Under the watchful eye of an all-powerful being, the Marvel Universe’s greatest heroes and vilest villains are transported away to a mysterious planet known only as “Battleworld.” Now, Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Wolverine and more must battle to the death against Ultron, Galactus, Kang, Doctor Doom and many more!
Batman Legends Of The Dark Knight Halloween Special
Taking place on the most evil of holidays, Halloween, the Dark Knight Detective confronts his deepest fears as he tries to stop the madness and horror created by Scarecrow, the Mad Hatter, the Penguin, Poison Ivy and the Joker.
My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic HCF Edition
The Cutie Mark Crusaders go to the one creature that might just be crazy enough to help them get their cutie marks… Discord!
Scooby Doo Team Up #1 Featuring Batman HCF Edition
Rumors of a giant bat-creature bring Scooby and the gang on the run – but Batman and Robin are already on the trail of their old foe, the monstrous Man-Bat. Before long, the crooks behind a fake bat-creature will come face-to-face with the real thing… with the good guys caught in the middle!
Other All Ages titles include Herocats/Princeless, Marvel Comics #1 HCF Edition, Michael Turner’s Fathom: The Adventures of Ernie, Angry Birds, Betty and Veronica, Boom Fright Fest, Little Battler’s Experience, Mermin, Plants Vs Zombies, and Vamplets:The Undead Pet Society.
For Teen Plus we’ve got some cool stuff too, including After Life With Archie HCF Edition
Gasp in horror as Riverdale faces an impending zombie Arch-pocalypse in this reprint of the award-winning, sold-out first issue by Harvey Award-winning writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Eisner-winning artist Francesco Francavilla!
Other Teen Plus comics include Extinction Parade, Grimm Fairy Tales Halloween Special, Rachael Rising and Resident Evil.
We’ve got 1,000’s of books to give away, but as always come early for the best selection.
This year we will have Heather Campbell on hand from 11am to 3pm taking studio pictures of everyone in front of our new larger backdrop.
Heather is a Cleveland based photographer specializing in fashion, food and product photography.
Heather’s photography has been featured in magazines such as LiveWell, Cleveland Magazine, and Inside Business. This is a great opportunity to get a studio picture of you, your kids and your family sporting their Halloween / cosplay costume absolutely free.
Pictures will be posted to our website and Facebook Page by Wednesday, October 29th, so you’ll have a super cool picture to use on you social media sites for Halloween. We can even take your picture to enter into the National Halloween Comic Fest Costume Contest, so cosplayers can compete on a national level. More on that here!
If you can’t make it out till later, we still have you covered. Krystle Finley will be taking over photo duties from 3pm to shop close!

As if this wasn’t enough to get you to come out, we’ll also have candy, custom made Halloween coloring sheets, and more surprises throughout the day!
