Chritmas Eve New Comic Book Day and Back Issue Stimulus

Hey everyone! Just a heads up that New Comic Book Day is now on Tuesday, December 24th this week! We will be open all day on Tuesday, from noon until 8pm, for all your last minute Christmas Shopping needs (last minute gist certificates) and to make sure you can grab these great books!

Every year comic book shops nationally experience what is called a ‘skip week’, a week in which no new comic books come out.
Last year Marvel Comics fixed that and decided to produce one great comic book, Amazing Spider Man #700, to release that week. This year Marvel, DC and other small press companies have followed suit by released one or two books they are really proud of. I have read all the books below and I can proudly state that this is a great week for new comics!

First Up, AVENGERS #24.NOW!

Avengers #24.NOW is the new starting point for readers and the beginning of an all new storyline. the book hits it’s mark and have quite a few really nice interactions between members. (Thor grills out for everyone as they celebrate the victory from Infinity!)
The coolest part of this release is that there are ten variant covers, five in which The Avengers pay homage to classic X-Men covers, and five in which the X-men pay tribute to classic Avengers covers!

And the best part, as are Christmas Present to you, all of these variants will be sold at COVER PRICE! Enjoy! This was a great idea and we’re happy to support Marvel’s efforts!

Marvel is also releasing Origin II #1 featuring a special acetate cover! Written by Kieron Gillen and drawn by Adam Kubert, Origin will tell the tale of Wolverine transition from savage back into civilization. The first issue read really well and is part one of a five part mini series!

DC’s got two key books for us, Forever Evil #4 and Justice League #26!
Right now, I believe Forever Evil is the best super hero book for your money! This issue defends that belief! I wish I could say more but I’d ruin some great moments in this book! Even if you turned away from the new 52, this book is what you’ve been looking for!

Justice League #26 ties right into it, telling the origin of three members of the Crime Syndicate!
