Year end wrap up and thank you at CNJ COMICS
The results of our food drive are in! Working hand in hand with POP! The Comic Culture Club ( check them out here!http://popcomicclub.com/ ) we were able to raise $915.75 and collect over 1,200 food item! The Cleveland Food Bank is one of the most amazing charities in the city and what they can do with a one dollar donation is truly remarkable. Thanks to your help over 4000 meals will be created in addition to the food items collected! Learn more about the Food Bank here:http://www.clevelandfoodbank.
The main focus of our food drive was a holiday Superhero Art Show at our yearly Christmas Party! Cleveland artists were asked to contribute custom covers of their favorite comic books with a holiday theme. All artwork was raffled off at the end of the event. The artists who contributed literally turned their talent into food for the needy in Cleveland, and we tip our hats to them. Here’s a Facebook photo gallery of all the artwork. Please check it out! There’s contact URL’s for a lot of the artists and quite a few do commission work, so don’t feel strange about reaching out to them!

We’d also like to thank Jameson Campbell for the amazing work on the Christmas Lithograph and in the past year in general. We basically got a Best Of Cleveland nod from Cleveland Magazine this year by properly using the work that he did for us. The words “above and beyond” don’t really do his work justice. As a comic book community in Cleveland I’m happy to have a graphic designer with a background in superheroes and a great deal of civic pride.We’ve got a full shipment of New Comics coming out this Tuesday, December 31st, and we’ll be open all day from noon until 8 pm! So you can come in and get your Infinity Gauntlet Bottle Opener. 😉
