New Releases for Oct 22 at CNJ Comics and Halloween ComicFest

Halloween ComicFest 2014 is almost here! But first let’s check out some featured new releases for the week of Wednesday October 22, 2014.

IDW finally hits the top position in our email, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ghostbusters #1!

It’s one of those things that can only happen in comic books. The Turtles are finally going to meet the Ghostbusters in this four issue mini series. Imagine Donny and Egon talking tech. Leo and Peter on leadership. Mikey and Ray on being the heart and soul of the group. And of course Ralph and Winston on being everyone’s favorites.

Also from IDW this week is Edward Scissorhands #1!

This five issue mini series is an all new story set 50 years after the movie. Just like Big Trouble in Little China, there’s not much else out there on this property, so this will be a big hit with fans.

Avengers and X-Men AXIS #3 is out this week, and it’s time for the villains to have their shot at the Red Skull.

A fun read so far! Other AXIS crossovers this week include Deadpool #36, All New X-Factor #15, and Axis Hobgoblin #1.

DC’s got  new Batman related book this week with Arkham Manor #1!

At only $2.99 and it looks like Arkham Asylum get shot down and Wayne Manor has to take in the inmates for awhile.  A good companion book to Gotham Academy.

Harley Quinn’s been a breakout hit for DC, and issue #11 looks to be no different.

Guest starring Power Girl! We’ll also have the first collection of this series in Hardcover, and a complete Gotham Girls Graphic Novel in.

With the show in full swing and a great couple of episodes, Walking Dead the comic will be out this week.

As stated before, this Saturday is our third annual Halloween ComicFest.

Halloween Comic Fest is the premiere event in Cleveland where kids and family get to interact with the ever growing cosplay community while enjoying free comics, candy, and complimentary photography services.
