This sale includes:
- 10% off all graphic novels!
- 50% off all back issues! (including books from the new collection we bought)
- 10% off all statues and action figures!
- 50% off all t-shirts! (we’re getting a new vendor and we’re closing out our current inventory)
- BOGO Dollar bins!
Thanks to everyone for being a part of our community year after year and for making 24 years possible.
Now! On to the featured new releases for Wednesday October 29th!
Harley Quinn breaks new ground in the comic book world, with the first scented comic book in Harley Quinn Annual #1.
There will be two versions of this book, regular and international, both with two covers each. Scents will include “leather, suntan lotion, pizza and a final olfactory teaser that will actually be different in the international version of the comic.” They’re actually talking about weed. Apparently the international version will have “grass clippings” instead to avoid an international incident during shipping.
It’s our 24th Anniversary, but Marvel’s on their 75th, and they’re releasing another cool book to celebrate this week.
This $5.99 book features new short stories like Bendis doing Jessica Jones, Bruce Timm doing his version of Stan Lee’s first Captain America story, and Lein Wein, co-creator of Wolverine, doing a forgotten Wolvie / Sabertooth story.
Digging AXIS? No new issue this week, but we’ve got a couple neat kick off series.
Axis Carnage is a three issue mini series where Carnage is flipped on his Axis and becomes a hero. Maybe.
Axis Revolutions will be a companion book to Axis, as different writers and artists provide stories from the fight with the Red Skull. Four issue mini on this one.
Our local pal Derf has a new book out this week, with True Stories #1.
Derf came out and gave a great lecture this year at our Comic Book Heritage Night at Great Lakes Brewery. Show some support and pick up his new book sure to be filled with Cleveland pathos.
Speaking of Cleveland, let’s end on this $125 monster, the Howard the Duck Omnibus!
In response to the ending credit scene in Guardians of The Galaxy, Marvel has put the entire 1970’s run of Howard into one giant tomb. Pretty cutting edge stuff for it’s time, and it’s “Off The Streets of Cleveland!”
Finally, this week is your last chance to get our Anti Bullying Stickers.
What a great promotion this was. We got lots of press both local and national, and we have quite a few really cool stories from customers who used them in creative ways. This would not have been possible without the amazing work of The Scribble Nerds. Please do the a solid and like their page on Facebook.
You’ll be a better person for keeping up with what they are up too. I know I am. They will also be appearing as a group for the first time at Oddmall this weekend. Stop by, check them out in person and maybe even commission a sketch.
That’s it for this week! Happy Anniversary mom!
