First up is the debut of the new look for Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman #36!

Wonder_Woman_36After a three year run, Wonder Woman finally has a new creative direction with the husband and wife team of Meredith and David Finch. This arc even pairs Dianna up with Swamp Thing.

This is also a good time to remind you that DC’s cover priced variants this month are all Lego themed, like this one.

Wonder_Woman_36_legoMarvel’s headlining a female character this week to, with Spider-Woman #1!

Spider-Woman_1_Oyum“Spinning” out of Spider-Verse are the adventures of Jessica Drew and Silk by Greg Land and Dennis Hopeless. This ongoing was heralded by a controversial variant cover by Milo Manara, released to the public months ago.

For now, let’s just enjoy the return of this character to her own book with a less shocking variant, Skottie Young’s.

Batman_Lil'_Harley_AFThis variant will be available for cover price along with others at noon on Wednesday. 🙂

Harley and Power girl have some fun this week In Harley Quinn #12.

Harley_Quinn_12Amanda Connor’s covers are always fun, and she’s known for her over the top work on Power Girl among other things.

We’ve also got a cool new Lil Gotham Harley Quinn Mini Action Figure this week.

Batman_Lil'_Harley_AFOnly $12.95 and we’ll have a Robin in this week too. look at that little Joker doll. 🙂

Deviating from the girl theme this week, we’ve got a couple other standouts, including Batman 66′ The Lost Episode.

Batman_66_The_Lost_EpisodeWay back when Harlen Ellison wrote a Batman TV Show plot for an episode featuring Two-Face. Thought to be to dark for the show it was never produced. Now you get to read the story in a $9.99 graphic novel adaptation written by Wolverine co-creator Len Wein and drawn by José Luis García-López.

This week debut’s Grant Morrison’s new Multiversity Pax Americana #1 with Frank Quitely.

Multiversity_Pax_Americana_1Even if your not following Multiversity this book is significant for a few reason. Grant’s telling the story of Earth-4, the old Charlton characters of Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, Peacemaker and so on. This is the same Universe that Alan Moore based the Watchman characters on. So basically, you’re getting Grant Morrison’s take on Watchman with art by Quitely, which is pretty cool.
