Free DC Rebirth Guide and New Releases for 4-13-2016

We’ve got a free DC Rebirth Magazine, some fantastic new trailers and the story of C-3PO’s red arm, all in a very substantial week.

Here’s the featured new releases for Wednesday, April 13th, 2016.

DC REBIRTH

DC held back all the information on their June new releases in order to present them at Wonder Con first, but now the information is out there and we’ll be presenting it to you in a FREE 96 page magazine.

DC Previews APRThis magazine will lay out the whole month of June for you, as well as provide background into the concepts and changes that will be going into the new line. Here’s 8 fun facts out of Wonder Con.

This week’s free magazine will also include a checklist that you can fill out and turn in sometime before May 25th, when the whole new direction will begin. (Or you can print it our here)

Rebirth Color ChecklistWe literally have thousands of the book so we’ll have them for the next month or so. Just ask at the counter!

C-3PO and STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE

Disney decided to save the story of C-3PO’s red arm for this week’s Star Wars C-3PO Special.

Star Wars Special C3POFeaturing the first collaboration between James Robinson and Tony Harris in over a decade. (the creative team behind my all time favorite comic book, Starman.)

Also, we were also incredibly impressed with this week’s Rouge One Trailer, and the addition of another powerful female lead in the Star Wars Universe:

DC COMICS AND TRAILER

Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has turned into something much more fun then we anticipated, also keeping up with Dark Knight III in terms of sales.

Batman TMNT #5Casey Jones in trouble with the GCPD, the turtles crashing in Robin’s room, and an Arkham jailbreak organized by Shredder.

Oh yeah, there’s a new trailer here as well:

Harley and Her Gang of Harleys #1 is a new six issue mini series that gives us a reason to check out the new Suicide Squad trailer.

“I’m known to be quite vexing.”

AVENGERS and IMAGE

Stand-Off at Pleasant Hill has turned into a really entertaining run, giving us the return of Steve Rogers as Captain America, as well as the return of the Masters of Evil (so to speak) and the Thunderbolts.

Avengers #8I’m not really a Nick Spencer fan but I’ll be giving all his work a second look after this project. This week’s tie in issues include All New All Different Avengers #8, Agents of Shield #4 and Illuminati #6.

For you small press fans, Image has released a second collection of nine first issues for only $5.99.

Image Firsts 2015Titles inside include:

  • Birthright #1 by Joshua Williamson & Andrei Bressan
