This year’s theme is Marvel Vs DC!

Art is due back by 5pm on Sunday, December 10th, and we will display them starting December 13th through our Holiday Party on Saturday the 16th. Once again, we will raffle them off at the party, and all proceeds go to the Cleveland Food Bank.

But coming up in November: it’s the big Black Friday Weekend Sale! From Friday, November 24th through Sunday, November 26th all back issues will be 50% off, all action figures and statues will be 20% off, and everything else in the store will be 10% off!

We will fill the foyer with boxes and boxes of dollar stock, and the holiday magic turns them into 50 cents each when you grab 100 or more!

Genghis Con is coming up as well, and Ben and I will be set up there on Sunday November 26th from 12pm to 5pm!

Dan Slott and Mark Bagley continue their run with this 10th-anniversary celebration of everything that made this Spider-Man Superior! Set a decade after the last Alien mini-series, after the emergence of a strange pale-colored Xenomorph and the loss of Weyland-Yutani’s ship, a new crew is sent to retrieve said ship from underwater. But of course, they aren’t told all the details, especially about the possibility of Xenomorphs. Are they human bait? And where is crewmember Cole sneaking off to, while Jun Yutani III is on his way to the site? It’s corporate corruption, personal betrayals, and extraordinary violence in Declan Shalvey and Andrea Broccardo’s four-issue mini-series.

DC COMICS

While Batman protects Gotham City, Batman Inc. protects the rest of the known world. But what about the unknown world? Who protects the world from hidden ancient evils from a magic and mad science-fueled century? It’s the Outsiders! Luke Fox is starting a new organization to find the things well beyond existence, to dig into the forgotten corners of the DC Multiverse, to preserve and record. His first recruit is Kate Kane, who wants to re-embrace her military background. Along with Lucius Fox and the world’s greatest living archeologist, Drummer (No “the”, because “Definite articles are for spandex fetishists and egomaniacs.”), the new team’s first task is to look into a fifty-mile-long, about-to-explode, object buried under Antarctica. What other forgotten stories will they uncover? A universe of secrets is about to come to light in writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and artist Robert Carey’s new series.

Spinning out of the pages of The Flash, writer Jarrett Williams and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo send young speedsters Wallace West and Avery Ho on the literal trail of other users of the Speed Force. Scientists have gone missing from S.T.A.R. Labs locations, and with Wally busy with gorilla attacks, the duo decide to investigate on their own. With this chance to forge their own paths, they run across some old friends, and some new threats while searching for answers. All-ages friendly!

Merry Creep-mas! The Deviant is a Christmas story by James Tynion IV and Joshua Hixson. If you are a fan of Christmas horror, killer Santas, true crime tales, and/or Tynion’s work, this is the book for you. Take a look at that cover. It sets you up with the creepy chill of this series. Fifty years after a blood-stained Santa Claus killed multiple young men, a troubled writer, Michael, is interviewing the man imprisoned for the crimes. The “Deviant Killer” has maintained his innocence for decades, claiming he knew but never harmed the victims. Now as the holiday season starts again, so do the murders. The ax wielding, masked Claus is back. Is it a copycat, or has the real Deviant Killer returned?

Tom King and artist Peter Gross are reimagining George Orwell’s Animal Farm into their new series Animal Pound, and we have the limited ashcan preview! Want to think about how humans treat animals and get emotional about cats and dogs locked in a pound? Yeah, me too… Pick it up!

In Vancouver, in the year 2648, there is a mysterious “Keeper Program”, a technological advancement that promises an end to entropy, but not everyone is content with the change. Retired Detective Bennie Strikman is asked to leave his home in the woods, and his son, to investigate when someone tries to shut down the program. An action that threatens the lives of everyone tied to it, including Strikman’s son. Writer Darcy Van Poelgeest and artist Caio Filipe’s new series is set to be a look into the human condition, set in a decaying metaphysical dystopia.
