Free Marvel Preview Book and New Comic Releases for 10-14-2015

Marvel Domination….

Marvel dominates again this week, with new #1’s, some Secret Wars finales, and Chewbacca! We’ve also got 300 copies of a new Marvel Previews book that we’ll be giving away this week to help you decide which titles to try out this month. We’ll also have parts 4 and 5 of the Iron Man build a figure to give away this week as well.

Here’s the featured new releases coming out this Wednesday, October 14th, 2015.

Leading the pack this week is the new Guardians of the Galaxy #1.

Guardians Of The Galaxy _1Bendis is still writing the book and a serious roster change puts Rocket in charge. And welcome new member (and one of my favorite Marvel characters ever) the Thing!

The Uncanny Avengers have been assembled again by Steve Rogers, to unite humans, mutants and Inhumans.

Uncanny Avengers _1As we know from last week’s Avengers #0, Deadpool is now a card carrying member of the time! Great creative team of Gerry Duggan and Ryan Stegman.

Missed the band wagon the first time? Hop on board with Spider-Gwen #1.

Spider-Gwen _1By the same creative team as the original series, Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriquez.

Other new number one’s this week include Captain Amercia Sam Wilson #1, Spider-Man 2099 #1, New Avengers #1 and What If Infinity X-Men #1.

Civil War has been a pretty fun title, and the whole thing comes to a close this week in Civil War #5.

Civil War _5Other Secret War titles include A-Force #5 and Marvel Zombies #4.

Who doesn’t love a good Wookie? Chewbacca gets his own five issue mini-series this week, written by Gerry Duggan with art by Phil Noto!

Chewbacca _1Chewie goes off on his own to rescue a damsel in distress. What more could you want? It’s pretty cool that Noto is doing cover and the interior art as well.

Star Wars Shattered Empire #3 is also this week.

Indi Picks!

Our indie pick of the week is easy, I Hate Fairyland, Skottie Young’s first creator owned book from Image Comics!

I Hate Fairyland _1Part Alice in Wonderland, and part Tank Girl, I Hate Fairyland follows a six year old’s adventures as she hacks her way through fairyland trying to get home. We went big on this one so be sure to give it a try!

BEST OF CLEVELAND

We’ll be setting up at the best of Cleveland Party on Friday, so if you’re attending stop by and say hi. We’ll be giving out free comic books as well as taking photo opp pictures with our backdrop and props.

That’s it for this week! Keep an eye out for a special Halloween Comic Fest email coming out later this week!
