New Comic Releases for the Week of 11-11-2015
It’s a Marvel kind of week, with more new titles from the All New All Different Marvel!
Here’s the featured new comic releases for Wednesday November 11th, 2015!
ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT
First up, the All New All Different Avengers #1!
The definitive Avengers title during the relaunch. If you’re only going to read one, this is it. Marvel gave you a preview of this book during Free Comic Book Day this year. Mark Waid combines classic characters like Captain America, Thor Iron Man and Vision, with new heroes like Miles Morales, Nova and Ms Marvel.
There’s a new Wolverine in town in All New Wolverine #1.
Tom Taylor brings us X-23 graduating into the roll of Wolverine in a new ongoing.
Not all the new titles feature heroes. Carnage #1 is out this week as well.
John Jameson and Eddie Brock follow Carnage into an abandoned coal mine after leaving a trail of bodies behind. Written by the legendary Gerry Conway, creator of the Punisher and the Death of Gwen Stacy.
Ultimates #1 features a bizarre line up of heroes defending the planet against global threats.
First up for the team is ending the threat of Galactus forever.
If you miss all the characters from Spider-Verse, they’ll have their own ongoing in Web Warriors #1.
Spider-Ham and Spider-Gwen will be there too!
Other Marvel books this week include All New Hawkeye #1, Illuminati #1, and of course the ever late Secret Wars #7.
DC COMICS
DC’s got one for us this week, Superman American Alien #1.
Max Landis, writer of Chronicle, brings us off beat stories from Clark Kent’s early years. Each issue will be by a different artist, starting in this issue with East of West’s Nick Dragotta.
DERF
Our local pal DERF had a new graphic novel and hardcover out this week, Trashed.
“Every week we pile our garbage on the curb and it disappears – like magic! The reality is anything but, of course. Derf Backderf’s Trashed is an ode to the crap job of all crap jobs – garbage collector. Trashed follows the raucous escapades of three 20-something friends as they clean the streets of pile after pile of stinking garbage, while battling annoying small-town bureaucrats, bizarre townfolk, sweltering summer heat, and frigid winter storms. Trashed is inspired by Derf’s own experiences as a garbageman. Interspersed are nonfiction pages that detail what our garbage is and where it goes.”

This is our longest running shop event, with raffles, sales, and like minded individuals. The sales will last all weekend but the fun really occurs during that 5 hour period.
