Rickmobile Visits CNJComics on 5-30-2017
The rumors are true, fans of Rick and Morty unite as the Rickmobile makes it’s only Ohio stop at CNJComics!
The Rickmobile is on a 50 stop tour cruising from Cartoon Network’s hometown in Atlanta to New York Comicon in October. This mobile piece of art is also a pop up store that contains exclusive Rick and Morty merchandise that you can’t find anywhere else. CNJComics has been chosen to be a part of this historic tour! Wubba-Lubba-Dub-Dub!
The Rickmobile will be at the shop on Tuesday May 30th from 5pm to 8pm and in true CNJ fashion we’ve put together an event that celebrates our love of the show.
First off, we’ll be flying in Kyle Starks, the writer and sometimes artist of the Rick and Morty Comic Books, for a signing.
Kyle has written the book since issue #16, and also did the art on issues #20 and #25. This means he’s the writer of the entire Rick and Morty Volume Four Graphic Novel, which collects issues #16-20. We’ve worked out a deal with ONI comics so we’ll have all the comics and graphic novels in stock, and the covers of the GN’s will even be limited edition covers that are not available in stores!
What’s more, we’ll have exclusive sketch covers to issue #25 for $10 each. The ten bucks even gets you a quick drawing on the cover by Kyle! (We’ve only got 100 of these babies, Morty!) Kyle will also sign any other comics purchased in the shop.
We’ve also had local artist Erin Schechtman Caruso from create a 5×7 print of Rick and our shop cat Winston that we’ll be giving out for free!
Erin will also be setting up a booth in the foyer next to the shop with her Super Group Hugs stuff, so you can get the print signed while you’re there!
We’ll also have refreshments being served in the foyer, so bring that tip money. (Only…only a dirtbag doesn’t tip on a drink Morty!) We’ll also be watching episodes of the show as well.
Another CNJ staple is our photo booth, and we’ve dipped into Etsy territory as well as creating a few props of our own.
Hop in there and snap your own photo, the props will be by the backdrop.
Lastly, we hoarded a few out of print Ricky and Morty FCBD books, and you’ll get one free with any purchase during the event.

The best way to keep up on the Rickmobile is to follow their account on Instagram @rickmobile We’re totally excited to hang out with people who love Rick and Morty as much as we do.
