Final Free Comic Book Day Updates for CNJComics

Hey everyone! Here are our final updates for Free Comic Book Day!

The event starts at 10 am on Saturday, May 6th, and lasts until 7 pm!

Here’s a look at the books you get to choose from. You’re allowed to pick twelve this year!

Also, be mindful of the age ratings on the books. We keep them separated on the tables as well, with the five red titles being at the end of the line.

We have also procured one thousand (!) graphic novels to give away one per person. You get to pick that out before you enter the free comic book area.

Here’s a closer look at some of the graphic novels that will be available:

Be mindful of the age ratings on the back of the graphic novels as well, and please ask a staff member if you have a question about any of them.

As we always say, ‘Come early for the best selection!”

Remember, you don’t have to wait in line if you just want to go into the free comic book room to shop around with our vendors; you can walk right in.

Here’s a complete list of this year’s vendors:

CHOD, Jeff Ritchie, Rick Sans, Sergio Andujar II, Brian Gleine, Sleepy Robot, Tangled Earth Arts, Perris Mackey, Katie Avila, Reegeeked.Nerdy Girl Cosplay, Ashley Ribblett, Quill Kolat, Ryan Kacsandy, Kawaii Killjoy, Heather Curtis, Randy Crider, Sean Burns, Kristen Burns, Phil Fried, Cory Holiday, Angels Oster, and David Franklin.

In the back of the Free Comic Room is a small photo op area and kids’ play table. This year, the main kids’ play area is in the foyer attached to the comic shop. There will be a few photo ops in there as well. A bathroom in the back of the free comic book room is open to all. (the comic shop bathroom is not open to the public.)

All weekend in the shop (Fri-Sun), you can enjoy 50% off back issues! We’ve also put out seven new long boxes of Batman dollar stock and five new long boxes of Walt Disney dollar stock.

Any pictures you take, please tag them with #cnjcomics so we can see them after the event. If you have a good time, please leave us a positive review somewhere on the world wide web! Laura Wimbels will be walking around taking photos early in the day, so costumes are encouraged!

We’ve gotten some good publicity for the event this year. John even appeared on New Day Cleveland, which you can check out here!

Here’s another good article.

Here’s a list of all the stores participating in Free Comic Book Day this year:

We highly recommend not just visiting us but going to as many shops as possible!

We also support mini-events at libraries around the city, including Westlake, Rock River, The Brooklyn Cuyahoga County Branch, and a large handful of Cleveland Public Libraries you can read about here:

Thank you all in advance for supporting Free Comic Book Day this year! It’s a great day to introduce friends and family to your hobby! Please find a staff member with a lanyard if you have any issues, and enjoy the day!
